Volunteering for
Disaster Response
Responding to communities in need, after humanitarian disasters, has been an integral part of the Tata tradition. The Tata Engage platform is leveraged to call upon Tata employees during the response to a disaster.
Based on their availability and their ability to commit to about seven days during the response period, volunteers sign up to join the Disaster Response (DR) team deployed by the Tata Sustainability Group. Volunteers are given a brief orientation in the field, following which they commence work in roles that are most suitable to them.

I was thrilled to have been chosen, and it took me no more than 30 seconds to say yes. My family was an integral part of my decision to volunteer. They are completely supportive of my participation in the relief effort.
