Conducted amid the pandemic, the 14th edition of the Tata Volunteering Week was quite unique. The programme, which normally sees a lot of group activities and large-scale events had to be pivoted to adjust to the requirements posed by COVID-19. Therefore, we asked our volunteers to “Work from Heart” while being at home – a play on “WFH” which is among one of the most used acronyms over the past six months! 35 companies of the Tata group conducted more than 2,500 volunteering activities across 75+ cities, to support 250+ partners. More than 25,000 volunteers contributed their time, effort and expertise to causes ranging from COVID awareness to mentoring and counselling young adults, from tree plantation to cleanliness drives, clocking 60,000 hours and touching the lives of 1 lakh people.
